Cubic Awarded $500 Million Defense Threat Reduction Agency Contract to Support Exercise Training

Mission Support Services, a business unit of Cubic Corporation (NYSE: CUB), was awarded a $500 million single award Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract. DTRA is the U.S. Department of Defense’s official Combat Support Agency for countering weapons of mass destruction. Under the contract, Cubic will provide chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and high-yield explosive (CBRNE) exercise, training, capability assessment, and capacity development support services.

 “Cubic is excited to partner with DTRA to employ effective CBRNE exercise, training, capability assessment, and development support services to mitigate threats and keep warfighters and citizens safe. This is an important mission executed by dedicated personnel in every corner of the globe who are passionate about their work,” said Bill Toti, president of Cubic’s Mission Support Services. “We are very proud of our 15 years of DTRA support and look forward to the next 10 years.”

The winning Cubic team includes Computer Sciences Corporation, Louisiana State University, Ascenttra, Harkcon, Marton Technologies, Strategic Operations Solutions, Tech62, TMC, Helios Global, ISSI, ITA International, Obsidian Solutions Group, and Tatitlek. Bill Magill will lead the Cubic team as program manager. Magill brings 15 years of CBRNE program management experience at Cubic and DTRA.

Additionally, Cubic will provide services to DTRA's Building Partnerships Division including training, exercise, and building partner capacity event support. Work will be based out of Cubic’s Operations Support and Education Group’s Kingstowne, Virginia office and also performed at various locations around the world. The contract is expected to run through July 2024.

Cubic's Operations Support and Education Group is based in Hampton, Virginia and supports all the military services and many government entities with training, staffing, and analytical solutions worldwide.
