Etihad Cargo and Trinity Logistics USA Renew Partnership

The airline will continue to operate three weekly Boeing 777 Freighter services to Rickenbacker International Airport in Columbus, Ohio

Etihad Cargo, the cargo and logistics arm of Etihad Airways, has renewed its partnership with Trinity Logistics USA. As per the ongoing agreement, the airline will continue to operate three weekly Boeing 777 Freighter services to Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK) in Columbus, Ohio.

The extended partnership enables Trinity to continue to deliver high fashion industry goods, moving key apparel from Colombo in Sri Lanka and Hanoi in Vietnam.

Additionally, the renewal of the partnership has also introduced a new onward Etihad Cargo freighter connection between Rickenbacker Airport and East Midlands Airport (EMA), in the United Kingdom.

Abdulla Mohamed Shadid, Etihad Airways Managing Director Cargo and Logistics Services, said: “The long-term extension of our agreement with Trinity is an endorsement of the positive working relationship we enjoyed over the past years. It reaffirms Etihad’s commitment to fostering global logistics partnerships, and enhances our network by focusing on key successful trade lanes”.

Serving as a cargo-dedicated airport, Rickenbacker International Airport maintains strong connections with almost half of the United States, which includes the East Coast, California and Texas. The airport is also a day away from one-third of Canada’s population by truck.

David Pereira, President Trinity Logistics, said: “We are happy to extend our agreement with a likeminded partner in Etihad. Our combined efforts to build a long term sustainable solution for our clients has proved to be a success.”
