Pratt & Whitney, a division of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX), and CALC (China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited; HKEx: 1848) today announced the signing of a contract for Pratt & Whitney engines to power 18 firm A320neo family aircraft.

"We appreciate CALC's trust and confidence in the GTF," said Rick Deurloo, senior vice president of sales, marketing and customer support at Pratt & Whitney. "We look forward to continuing our long-standing relationship."

Since entering into service in early 2016, the GTF engine for the A320neo family aircraft has demonstrated its promised ability to reduce fuel burn by 16 percent, to reduce NOx emissions by 50 percent to the regulatory standard and to lower the noise footprint by 75 percent.
