Primera Takes Delivery of its 1st A321neo from GECAS

Primera Air, a low-fare Nordic airline, has taken delivery of its first Airbus A321neo, on lease from GECAS. Assembled and delivered Monday in Hamburg, this aircraft is the first of three from the GECAS orderbook that Airbus will deliver to the airline in 2018.

“Given the outstanding operational efficiency, comfort and range of the aircraft,” shared Andri Már Ingólfsson CEO and President of Primera Travel Group, “the A321neo is ideally suited to our cross-Atlantic travel from both the UK and France.”

“GECAS is delighted to be delivering Primera’s first new A321neo today,” declared GECAS Senior Vice President - Sales, Felix McArdle. “We have been partnering with them on fleet solutions for 11 years now and this latest delivery of the ground-breaking A321neo with LEAP engines is the latest chapter and a very important development for Primera. We wish them every success with the operation.”
