Fokker Services' ABACUS logistics support program now available for Boeing 737NG

Fokker will launch its latest ABACUS logistics support program, aimed at the B737NG fleet, at MRO Europe in Madrid on 8 - 9 October.

ABACUS is one of the longest-running logistics support programs in aviation history: starting in September 1993 to support the Fokker 100 fleet of Sweden’s Transwede Airways as launching customer, the program rapidly grew to other platforms.

ABACUS currently supports more than 250 aircraft: Fokker 50, Fokker 70, Fokker 100 and Bombardier Dash-8. Last year we reached a total of 5 million supported flight hours.

“For this 737NG platform we are focusing on Pressurization and Environmental Control (ATA 21 & 36), which represent major cost drivers and for which we have the expertise in-house to make the difference”, says Heino van der Laan, VP Marketing and Sales at Fokker Services. “Next to our appreciated Component Availability & Maintenance support, the ABACUS program has developed a more in-depth view on component reliability. System reliability has been developed to improve reliability of the system, and not just the individual components. We are in advanced discussions with several customers, and are confident that with this system approach together with our flexibility, customer focus and over two decades of ABACUS experience we can offer customers the advantage of competitive and predictable maintenance costs with guaranteed availability and reliability management. This will make a significant contribution to operators’ dispatch reliability and safeguard the long-term availability of their aircraft.”

The ABACUS reliability monitoring process is not just about measuring; it’s all about improving. It’s about sharing information, reliability meetings with our customer and a deeper insight into system and component reliability. That means we don’t just report reliability, we actually monitor, analyze, develop and implement improvements in partnership with our customers.
