(Seattle, July 27, 2010) -- Boeing [NYSE: BA] today announced that the company received European Aviation Safety Authority (EASA) certification for the Boeing GoldCare Continuous Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO).This approval enables Boeing UK Limited to offer GoldCare services to business jet operators, including access to extensive aircraft data analysis improving aircraft reliability and performance. This removes the operator's need to establish their own CAMO with their own engineering and quality management resources.
This certification allows Boeing to enter into contracting Part M fleet management services for non-commercial transport airplanes (e.g., Boeing Business Jets and VIP airplanes).
The approval confirms and validates that GoldCare service offerings are in conformance with the EASA Part M regulatory requirements.
"This is a real plus for our business and achievement of a major GoldCare development milestone, allowing us to perform GoldCare services in a consistent and standard manner for our European customers," said Scott Bradbury, Fleet Management Operations Director, Commercial Aviation Services for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, and the Boeing UK Ltd. GoldCare Accountable Manager.
The certificate was issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of the United Kingdom to Boeing UK Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company.
