Saab Wins 300 M SEK Orders

(November 27, 2008) -- Saab has received orders from two customers with a total order value of 300 million SEK. The orders are for services and additional capabilities based on the GIRAFFE AMB radar system.Six customers, including Sweden, France, Estonia and United Kingdom, have previously bought the 3D GIRAFFE AMB. Over the years several hundreds of GIRAFFE radar systems of various models have been sold to more than 25 countries.
The latest improvements have turned the 3D GIRAFFE AMB into a true multi-mission surveillance system with for example simultaneous air defence, air and sea surveillance Military Air Traffic Control and Rocket, Artillery and Mortar (RAM) alert.
