Saab Delivers Training Systems for the Norwegian Army
Published on ASDNews: Nov 26, 2008
(November 25, 2008) -- Saab continues to expand its training systems area and has during the year won several contracts for training simulators to the Norwegian army."Norway is one of our biggest customers, with high demands on realism and reliability. Winning several orders in a row is very satisfying," says Claes-Peter Cederlof, Vice President Marketing, at Saab Training Systems.
The first order received covered simulators for firearms and an upgrade of the targeting system and the following order was a simulator for the army's anti tank weapon Javelin. Saab is a world leader in advanced two way simulators for anti tank weapons and the ordered simulator can be used both for fire training and tactical exercises. During fall Saab in addition secured a three year contract regarding operational support at the Norwegian combat training center NACMTC.
This order was an extension of the earlier orders and enables the customer to concentrate on its core operations, while Saab makes sure that the outcome of the training is maximized.
