Rolls-Royce Wins $400 M Orders in China

(November 4, 2008) -- Rolls-Royce today announced orders worth more than $400 million from customers in China. BOC Aviation, the leading Asia-based aircraft leasing company, has selected market-leading Trent 700 engines worth $180 million for five Airbus A330 freighters. Rolls-Royce also has a $230 million share of an order for V2500 engines from Sichuan Airlines.Robert Martin, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of BOC Aviation, said: "The popularity of the Trent 700 with operators around the world ensures BOC Aviation can not only meet the demands of its customers but that they, in turn, benefit from utilising the market- leading engine on this airframe."
Nick Devall, Executive Vice President - Airlines, Rolls-Royce said: "This order demonstrates BOC Aviation's continuing confidence in our products and the continuing strength of the Trent 700 in the wider marketplace."
