Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Awards $46 M to SAIC

Company to Provide Engineering and Technical Support of Tactical Data Link Systems(San Diego and McLean, Va., October 21, 2008) -- Science Applications International Corporation (NYSE: SAI) today announced it has been awarded a contract by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SSC) - Pacific to provide tactical data link (TDL) systems support. This follow-on, multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a one year base period of performance, two one year options, four six month award terms, and a total value of more than $46 million if all options are exercised. Work will be performed primarily in San Diego.
TDL systems enable the effective employment of fleet units by improving timeliness, accuracy, and content of tactical data transfer. Under the contract, SAIC will provide engineering and technical support to these systems including life cycle and systems engineering, integration, testing, configuration management and integrated logistics support.
