American Systems Subsidiary Wins $4.8 Million Air Force Contract

( CHANTILLY, Va., August 17, 2006 ) - Business Plus Corporation (BPC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of American Systems, was recently awarded a five-year contract by the HQ Air Combat Command, Air Operations Squadron (ACC/AOS) with a total value of approximately $5 million. Under the terms of the contract, BPC will provide all management, supervision, and personnel for the 24/7/365 day operational manning of the AOS/AOD Mission Control Center (MCC) in support of the Department of Defense. The MCC serves as the command and control function for all fighter and bomber type aircraft deliveries, and reports directly to the AOS Commander. BPC MCC personnel make time-sensitive inputs on deployment, refueling support, weather criteria, and missed air refueling abort bases for these aircraft. Work will be performed at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia, and Lockheed Martin will serve as a subcontractor to BPC. BPC General Manager Ron Costella noted, "This award clearly validates the partnership that we have formed with the Air Operations Squadron over the past five years. As a team, both BPC and Lockheed Martin are proud of our past support and look forward to supporting Air Combat Command for the next five years."
