VT Miltope Receives Contracts Totaling US$6.4m For Next Generation Military Rugged Laptop For The US Army
(Singapore, 28 July 2006) -- Singapore Technologies Engineering (ST Engineering) today announced that its US company, VT Miltope, has received a US$6.4m (about $10m) order for its new TSC-750M 915 configuration for the Aviation Mission Planning System (AMPS) Portable Computing Unit (PCU). The order includes 582 TSC-750M AMPS PCU kits and 542 upgrades to the TSC-750M computers already fielded. Deliveries are scheduled to begin this month and are to be completed by 1Q2007. The "915" AMPS PCU provides Army Aviation a mission planning and battle synchronisation tool that automates mission planning tasks.This contract is not expected to have any material impact on the consolidated net tangible assets per share and earnings per share of ST Engineering for the current financial year.
