Tetra Tech Wins $40M in Iraq Reconstruction Work under Air Force WERC Contract

(PASADENA, Calif., May 3, 2006) -- Tetra Tech, Inc. (NASDAQ:TTEK) announced today that it has recently been awarded four new task orders with a combined value of $40 million to construct and renovate facilities for the Iraqi Army and Iraqi national police under its existing U.S. Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence (AFCEE) Worldwide Environmental Restoration and Construction (WERC) contract. The projects will support new construction and renovation of more than a dozen police and other related facilities in Iraq. Work under the cost-plus-fixed-fee task orders has already started and is expected to be completed by September 2006. "These facilities will support an Iraqi Army and national police force that is critical in enhancing the security in Iraq," said Tetra Tech's CEO, Dan Batrack. "Under the WERC contract, Tetra Tech has also built and reconstructed medical facilities, border forts, police stations, and military installations in Iraq. We are working with local subcontractors, vendors, and craft laborers to execute these projects." The WERC contract is a multiple-award indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract. Under this contract, Tetra Tech offers a full range of planning and construction activities to meet environmental and traditional construction needs. The WERC contract also includes demolition, repair, emergency response, and operation and maintenance opportunities.
