Supporting Operations in Low Bandwidth or radio silence environments

Boldon James, a leading supplier of High Grade messaging capability, is delighted to announce another addition to the Boldon James Defence Messaging portfolio - a STANAG 4406 Annex E Solution for use in a Microsoft Exchange Environment. This product supports IP-based communications in low-bandwidth environments as defined in STANAG 4406 Annex E and ACP142 , meeting military standard requirements for mobile and tactical messaging in Radio Silence for land, sea and air operations.

The product will undergo testing and capability assessment at CWID 06 as part of the ATLAS Consortium Defence Information Infrastructure demonstrations.


Boldon James' time to market for this solution has been substantially reduced as a result of its successful collaboration with leading standards based software developer, Isode Ltd. Isode's unrivalled technical expertise in the field of X.400 technologies, has facilitated a complex integration with Microsoft Exchange on a Windows platform. The design supports current and future versions of Exchange ensuring those who deploy the Boldon James Annex E solution are future-proofed.

Boldon James, who specialise in extending the functionality of Microsoft COTS products for use in Military environments, have used their knowledge of user requirements to develop a full management package enabling this product to be easily deployed and managed by military service personnel.
