FlightSafety International is receiving outstanding reviews from U.S. Army personnel who are using the UH-72A Lakota simulators being delivered to Flight School XXI.FlightSafety is teamed with CSRA and L-3 to provide equipment and services for U.S. Army aviation training at Flight School XXI.
Training began last month using the first four UH-72A Lakota devicesFlightSafety delivered to Flight School XXI. The devices being delivered consist of Instrument Flight Trainers, Operational Flight Trainers, and Cockpit Procedures Trainers. FlightSafety expects to deliver all10 Cockpit Procedures Trainers by the end of 2016. The 22 Lakota Instrument Flight Trainers and Operational Flight Trainers will enter service by early 2019.

The system offers greater clarity, sharpness, and brightness for training fidelity. The true collimated images are free of visible distortions and artifacts out to mirror edge. The true spherical shape eliminates the inherent distortion found in soft-film display systems. Its modular design produces the widest fields of view available.
The Instructor Operating Station featuresan intuitive interface, scalable graphics, and large multi touch displays. VITAL 1100 provideshighly detailed mission specific imagery with vastly improved scene content and exceptional environmental effects. Training benefits also include a whole-Earth environment and worldwide database that incorporates latest terrain information with geo-specific satellite images.
In addition to devices for the Lakota, FlightSafety has built 24simulators for the Bell TH-67 and two Bell TH-IH Weapons System Trainersfor Flight School XXI. FlightSafety also participated in building11Sikorsky UH-60 A/L/MBLACKHAWK trainers, and threeBoeing CH-47F simulators.Close to 600,000 hours of training have been providedwith 100% availability to date.
