Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force signs PBL contract
- PBL improves operational reliability and ensures timely and adequate parts supply

Airbus Helicopters Japan has signed a contract with Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force (JMSDF) for Performance-based Logistics (PBL) benefiting from Airbus Helicopters’ new customer fleet availability service offer called HCare. The PBL is a contract method that involves payment of compensation according to the level of equipment performance achieved in terms of availability ratio and stable stock.
The comprehensive agreement covers maintenance, parts supply, as well as repair of 15 TH-135 training helicopters currently in operation at the JMSDF, and will be effective from October this year.
