EOIR Awarded EMC2 Contract

EOIR Technologies, Inc. announced today that it was one of the prime contractors awarded the U.S. Navy's $800 million Electromagnetic Maneuver Warfare Command and Control (EMC2) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract. Task Orders will be issued through the Office of Naval Research's (ONR) Future Naval Capabilities (FNC) program which has been aggressively researching advanced technology for future Navy Radio Frequency (RF) system requirements.

"EOIR is excited to continue our support of the U.S. Navy's Electromagnetic Maneuver Warfare efforts," said Mark Coleman, EOIR Vice President of Electromagnetic Warfare. "EMC2 is a significant win for us. We look forward to helping develop and deploy systems that will allow our military to characterize, control, and dominate the spectrum. That is the battlefield of the future."

As a prime on this effort, EOIR will support the development of hardware and software intensive systems that provide the capability to monitor the RF spectrum across a wide range of frequencies and reallocate functions to the best frequencies and resources to respond to changes in the electromagnetic environment and warfighter requirements. Support will focus on the study, design, fabrication, integration and Test and Evaluation (T&E) for the development and demonstration of a set of prototypes and their component subsystems that integrate RF functionality into a common set of multi-function apertures, electronics, and software/firmware through an architecture that is modular, scalable across platforms, and open at the RF electronics and software/firmware levels.

Tasks will require expertise in providing real time spectrum control and optimization across Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) sensors and weapon Systems; maximizing warfighting performance by coordinating and synchronizing RF operations across a battle force; and reducing Total Ownership Cost (TOC).

This contract has a 5-year period of performance with a 2-year option that has an additional ceiling of $100 million.
