Iron Bow Technologies, an information technology solutions provider, today announced that the United States Army Contracting Command has awarded the company the Information Technology Enterprise Solutions-3 Hardware (ITES-3H) contract, valued at $5 billion. Iron Bow delivered on previous iterations of this contract with ITES-2H and the follow on extension of the contract.
As part of the U.S. Army’s plans to modernize its IT network and services, the ITES-3H contract vehicle enables purchases of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware, including servers, workstations, laptops, PCs, networking equipment and storage.
“From command center to battlefield, the Army relies on best-of-breed IT products and services for communication and coordination to achieve its mission," said Rene LaVigne, President and CEO, Iron Bow Technologies. "Iron Bow is honored to have secured the Army’s trust in powering the military with the robust and innovative technology solutions that will propel its mission forward today and into the future.”
As one of the largest defense contracts expected this year, ITES-3H is in line with the Army’s strategy to consolidate IT purchases into larger performance-based, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contracts. These solutions can include a range of devices, such as workstations, networking equipment, displays, video teleconferencing (VTC) solutions and the related services for their configuration, implementation, maintenance and relocation.
