Mercury Systems Receives $42 M from US Navy for DRFM Jammers

Mercury Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MRCY), announced that its Mercury Defense Systems (MDS) subsidiary was awarded a firm-fixed-price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) time and material contract worth up to $41.8 million to deliver 200 advanced miniaturized Digital RF Memory modulators (Mini DRFM) to the U.S. Navy. The contract was received in the Company's fiscal 2016 second quarter. Work will be performed at the Company’s Cypress, Calif. facility and is expected to be completed in November 2020.

“This award is further validation of Mercury’s vital role in working with the U.S. Navy to support sophisticated radar jamming technology,” said Brian Perry, President, Mercury Defense Systems. “Our DRFM solutions have been used for over two decades for training and radar environment simulation, vulnerability assessment and self-protection. We take our role in safeguarding our airborne warfighters seriously, especially in today’s environment where threats can come from a wide variety of sources.”
