SAIC Awarded SPAWAR Systems Center Pacific Contract
- Company to provide technical services to SSC Pacific
The U.S. Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific (SSC Pacific) awarded Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE:SAIC) a prime contract to provide technical services for SSC Pacific's shipboard, submarine, shore and airborne platforms. The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee, multiple-award contract has a one year base period of performance, four one-year options, and a total potential value of $94 million for all awardees. SAIC is one of two awardees. Work will be performed primarily in San Diego, California.
SSC Pacific is the Navy’s premier research, development, test, and evaluation laboratory for command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR). Under the contract, SAIC will provide production management and transition support; integration and fabrication support; and system and component procurement support for the Network Integration Engineering Facility. SAIC will also provide technical services including production and material management required to integrated systems for ashore or aboard ships.
