Bell Helicopter and NorthStar Aviation Celebrate 48th Bell Helicopter Aircraft Delivery at Dubai Air Show

Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, is proud to announce the 48th Bell Helicopter 407 GX aircraft delivery to NorthStar Aviation. With nearly 150 Bell 407s in operation in the Middle East and 1200 around the world, this multi-mission aircraft has proven to be a force to be reckoned with in the region. NorthStar Aviation is a flexible, full-spectrum aviation modification, maintenance, overhaul and repair firm, working with government and military clients.

“Today we are celebrating the forty-eighth delivery out of a total order for fifty-six Bell 407GXs placed in 2011 by NorthStar Aviation,” said Steve Suttles, Bell Helicopter, Vice President Middle East and Africa. “With over 250 commercial Bell Helicopters being used for military missions in Middle East and Africa, we are seeing a growing demand in the region specifically for the Bell 407 retrofitted as a light attack helicopter. We are honored that NorthStar has continued to choose Bell Helicopter since 2011 and we are looking forward to many years of collaboration in the future.”

The Bell 407GX is the latest best-selling Bell 407 platform, with added value through class leading performance, payload capability and operating economics. The M250 Rolls-Royce engine boosts power and fuel efficiency delivering best in class hot and high performance. The aircraft also features avionics improvements in the weight and balance pages, as well as a transmission time between overhaul (TBO) extension of 500 hours.
