Issues under discussion at this 15th Annual International Fighter Conference will include EW and SEAD, advances in Munitions, reliance on space assets and low earth orbit technologies, LVC, advanced fighter radar technology, and the limitations of stealth.
The international community has witnessed an increase in irregular and asymmetric conflict; Boko Haram, ISIS, and the situation in East Ukraine. The kinetic response required to address these threats has highlighted the importance of air power and air superiority, including the use of fighter aircraft in non-traditional ISR roles.
With perspectives invited from both large and small nations, we are already able to confirm a range of exciting and relevant perspectives at both an operational and strategic level.
It is a big ambition to have when you have been bringing together Air Force Officers, Air Power advocates and industry for well over a decade – but we are aiming to make, and quietly confident, that 2015 will deliver the best conference experience yet. We have confirmed Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Dalton, Former RAF Chief of the Air Staff (2009 to 2013), as the conference chairman and we have also arranged a number of excellent session chairs for the interactive panel discussions.
Interactive Panel Discussions – including; Industry view of the Fighter Market, Senior Leadership 'Commanders' Forum', Communicating Air Power, The Future of Air Power 2035+, and The Optimum Live / Sythetic Training Balance
Focus day examining two key areas – A morning dedicated to Air Launch Weapons and an afternoon dedicated to EW and SEAD
Independent analysis and global trends in fighter aircraft. The state of the market, current headline hitting stories and the perception of defence procurement in an age of austerity
High-level presentations – we are honoured that several Chiefs of Air Staff and other senior leadership officials are delivering presentations and unparalleled insight into their work, challenges and future plans
As ever, if you are involved in the world of fighter aviation and wish to influence the content of this conference - please do get in touch before the beginning of June 2015 so we can leverage your expertise into generating an exceptional conference that adds value to all parties.
I’m looking forward to November, meeting new delegates and old friend, and learning more than ever about fighter aircraft, their use, procurement, the potential of new technologies, and the challenges faced.
Director, International Fighter Conference (2013 - 2015)
