Implant Sciences Wins 50 Unit German Airport Order

Implant Sciences Corporation (OTCQB: IMSC), a leading manufacturer of explosives trace detection (ETD) and drugs trace detection solutions for homeland security applications, today announced an important sale of 50 of its QS-B220 desktop explosives trace detectors to several international airports in Germany.
"Among the German airports in this sale was an airport that is consistently recognized as one of the best and busiest airports in Europe. We were thrilled to work with the customer to develop a customized software configuration for the QS-B220 that met their specific requirements, which we then integrated into our newest release of our European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC)-approved system," stated Dr. Darryl Jones, Implant Sciences' Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing. "Our German customer needed ETD technology that enabled them to screen very high volumes of passengers with an extremely low false alarm rate. The system we optimized out-performed the other ETD systems when tested in side by side airport trials. I'm happy to announce that these systems are shipping today, and this software upgrade will be implemented into our entire installed base of QS-B220s globally in the fall."
