Bombardier Commercial Aircraft announced today that it has appointed SAMCO Aircraft Maintenance B.V. of the Netherlands as its first Authorized Service Facility (ASF) for the all-new C Series family of airliners.
Under the ASF agreement, which takes effect immediately, SAMCO will offer C Series aircraft operators maintenance services that include: start-up support, line maintenance, base maintenance and continued airworthiness management, from its facilities located at the Maastricht Airport in Beek, Netherlands.
“We’re very excited to broaden our collaboration with SAMCO as it becomes the C Series aircraft’s first Authorized Service Facility in the world,” said Todd Young, Vice President, Customer Services, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft. “SAMCO has been providing maintenance services to some of our existing aircraft operators in Europe for the last six years and has a great reputation for meeting our customers’ needs. I am certain this level of performance will extend to our C Series aircraft operators.”
“For almost 30 years now, we have been offering our customers exceptional customer care and expertise - providing them with aircraft maintenance solutions in a timely, cost-effective manner,” said Constant van Schaik, Chief Executive Officer, SAMCO. “We are thrilled to continue working alongside Bombardier and extending our services offering to include the all-new C Series aircraft.”
To accommodate the C Series aircraft, SAMCO will begin an expansion project this year that will see its current 5,300 square-metre hangar capacity almost double to a total of approximately 10,000 square metres.
