Cubic Global Defense Awarded $1.25 M FMS Follow-on Order by the US Army

Cubic Global Defense , a business of  Cubic Corporation (NYSE: CUB), today announced the award of a foreign military sales follow-on order worth more than $1.25 million for additional Engagement Skills Trainer 2000 (EST 2000) shelters, maintenance equipment and logistics support. The U.S. Army’s Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) awarded the contract to Cubic in support of the Lebanese Armed Forces.

EST 2000 uses digital video projectors, high-definition screens, game-based computer graphics and ballistically accurate weapons for marksmanship, collective and escalation of force training.

Cubic’s virtual training systems are best in class and this continuing procurement demonstrates our customers have confidence in the EST 2000,” said Bill Toti, president of Cubic Global Defense. “Cubic is committed to providing the products, services and support needed by the Lebanese Armed Forces to support their readiness and increase their ability to defend their nation in this important region of the world.”

The new shelters, maintenance equipment and support, which will complement and enhance the systems previously delivered, are expected to be delivered and in use by September 2015. Cubic has provided the EST to many countries in the region including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and several other Mid East allies.
