TRU Simulation + Training, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announced today that Ansett Aviation Training has successfully received Level D qualification from the Australian Civil Aviation Authorities (CASA) for its A320 FFS X™ Full Flight Simulator.
This state-of-the-art simulator joins a fleet of 11 full flight simulators and is being used to train pilots from Tigerair Australia among other airlines in the Asia-Pacific region. The simulator features an electric motion system and a TRU 200° x 40° field of view (FoV) visual display system.

We look forward to this being the first of many TRU devices being operated at Ansett," said David Garside Ansett, Aviation Training Chief Executive Officer.
According to data reported by the International Air Transport Association, total global aircraft demand increased 5.9 percent year-over-year in 2014. George Karam, Vice President and General Manager of TRU’s Air Transport Simulation division, stated “Ansett is an important customer to us.
