American Defense Systems, Inc. Awarded 5-Year $44 Million Contract with TACOM

HICKSVILLE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 23, 2005--On October 7, 2005, TACOM, the U.S. Army's Tank-automotive and Armaments Command, awarded American Defense Systems, Inc. (ADSI), of Hicksville, New York with a $44 million five-year IDIQ contract for the supply of crew protection kits (CPK) for numerous Caterpillar and Case construction vehicles in use by the U.S. The construction equipment to be reinforced by ADSI's opaque armor and blast-resistant glass includes graders, scrapers, compactors, rollers, and loaders.
