Serco Awarded $31 Million Single-Award IDIQ to Support U.S. Military
Serco, a provider of professional, technology, and management services, announced the Company has been awarded a new single-award indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract to provide installation support for Close-In Weapons Systems (CIWS) on U.S. Navy, U.S. Army and U.S. Coast Guard vessels. This contract has a one-year base period plus two option years, with a ceiling value of $31 million .
Under the contract, Serco will perform installations, upgrades and modifications to the CIWS, a point-defense weapon for detecting and destroying low- and high-flying, high-speed maneuvering anti-ship missile threats that have penetrated outer defenses. These systems are typically mounted shipboard in a naval capacity. Work on the contract is expected to be performed in Norfolk, VA ; San Diego, CA ; Pearl Harbor, HI ; Everett, WA ; Mayport, FL ; and, various overseas ports.

This contract builds upon Serco's current set of Navy C4ISR contracts under which the Company is providing installation and upgrade support on Navy vessels. Known for building and maintaining C4ISR systems for various branches of the Department of Defense, Serco delivers lifecycle sustainment engineering, systems integration, hardware procurement, software development, technical support, installation and testing, operations and maintenance solutions.
