Fokker Services, part of Fokker Technologies, has received the order award from Orenair to introduce the Fokker Services EFB solution for iPad® on Orenair’s entire B737 fleet.
The Fokker Services EFB solution for iPad® is a Class 2B EASA-certified installation including mounting and power supply. Its simplicity brings the advantages of EFB at a fraction of the cost and downtime of other currently available solutions. Fokker Services won the Aviation Week ‘Most innovative MRO in 2013’ award for this solution, which has now been sold for use on nearly 500 aircraft.
Orenair and Fokker Services have agreed to implement the EFB solution for iPad® on the airline’s entire fleet. This will provide savings in weight as well as enhanced accessibility of information and performance data.
“We have selected the EFB solution for iPad® from Fokker Services because of its proven track record on the B737”, said Alexey Andreev, Technical Director of Orenair. “This EASA-certified solution mounts and powers the iPad® in the cockpit, and will allow us to remove the paper flight bag from the cockpit.”

The Fokker Services EFB solution for iPad® covers not only the hardware to mount and power the iPad®, but also the associated certification and supporting data, such as manual supplements, to ensure that airworthiness compliance can be demonstrated.
