L-3 Henschel to Provide Ship Control Product Support and Sustainment Services for Military Sealift Command Vessels

L-3 Henschel announced today that it was selected by the U.S. Navy’s Military Sealift Command (MSC) to provide product support and sustainment services for Henschel Integrated Bridge and Machinery Control products installed on MSC vessels. The five-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract has a base value of $2.8 million with a maximum value of $14.7 million, if all options are exercised. The work includes technical and engineering services for critical ship systems on board the T-AO 187/199-class as well as other MSC vessels.

“L-3 is very pleased to be selected to support these systems for MSC’s critical worldwide maritime missions,” said Jon Miller, vice president and general manager of L-3 Henschel. “We recognize our customers’ growing need to extend the life of their platforms, and our products and support services are specifically designed to provide a cost-effective means to extend product life cycles with maximized operational availability in support of long-term requirements.”
