Grantley Adams International Airport renews agreement with Rockwell Collins for ARINC vMUSE

Rockwell Collins has been awarded a contract to install its latest ARINC vMUSE™ Common Use Passenger Processing System (CUPPS) at the Grantley Adams International Airport (GAIA) in Barbados.

As part of the agreement, Rockwell Collins will also install its ARINC SelfServ™ common use kiosk software, ARINC VeriPax™ passenger reconciliation system, and will update flight information display and local departure control systems.

The implementation of vMUSE supports the latest CUPPS standards and offers airlines and airports new efficiencies and savings. GAIA was the first airport in the world to run Rockwell Collins’ common use platform entirely on a wireless network providing unmatched flexibility in airport construction, outdoor equipment, and system and hardware updates.

“We’re pleased to extend and expand a partnership which dates back to 2004,” said Karen Walkes, director of engineering for GAIA Inc. “Rockwell Collins’ vMUSE system, as well as its other technologies, provides our airport with the most efficient ways to process passengers—and improve customer service—throughout our facilities.”

“ARINC vMUSE gives GAIA more flexibility while reducing costs,” said Mike Picco, vice president, Information Management Services (IMS) for Rockwell Collins. “This renewal highlights our outstanding relationship with GAIA and demonstrates our strong commitment to our Latin American and Caribbean customers.”
