Exelis to showcase innovative technologies for special operations forces at 2014 SOFIC
Exelis (NYSE: XLS) will showcase its industry-leading technologies at the 2014 Special Operations Forces Industry Conference (SOFIC) in Tampa, Florida, May 20-22. The company will highlight a select range of systems designed to support the evolving mission set of the special operations community.

Advanced Capability Pod (ACaP)
The ACaP is an airborne jammer that provides electronic countermeasures against modern airborne and ground-based radio frequency (RF) threats. The ACaP currently flies on U.S. Air Force F-15 and F-16 and U.S. Navy F/A-18 fighter aircraft.
EGON Active/Reactive Counter-IED System
EGON is a counter- improvised explosive device (IED) system that addresses all current and emerging radio-controlled IED threats. It is about half the size and weight and consumes half the power of prior systems. EGON has been operationally deployed since mid-2010 and can be tailored to meet individual mission requirements in less than 15 minutes.
Individual Soldier System
This system integrates the Exelis iAware Tactical Mobility Night Vision Goggle with the high data rate SpearNet radio, using Jagwire™ to provide on-demand access to critical geospatial intelligence. The individual soldier system integrates voice, video and data streams, allowing commanders to see what soldiers see and send instructions like texts, alerts or images directly to the goggle’s display in a light and sound-secure way.
Integrated Protection and Transmission Systems (iProTxS)
A small, lightweight technology that enables uninterrupted communications between combat network radios, even in the presence of nearby jamming signals, without compromising network security. It can be quickly integrated with existing radios and electronic countermeasure systems on both mounted and dismounted platforms.
Geospatial Data Solutions
The cloud-based Jagwire software solution makes the discovery, management and dissemination of geospatial data and video easier than ever. It integrates advanced ENVI analytics and enables the quick discovery and transformation of LiDAR (light detection and ranging), spectral imagery, video and other geospatial data types into actionable intelligence for improved mission planning and decision-making.
Missile Warning System (AN/AAR-60(V)2)
Advance missile warning systems and countermeasures against infrared-guided missiles have become vital for survivability. The AN/AAR-60(V)2 is a proven, true-imaging sensor device optimized to detect spectral radiation emitted from approaching missile exhaust plumes, allowing special operators to react early and appropriately.
Network Electronic Warfare Capability (NEWC)
In a constantly changing EW environment, advanced technologies are required to provide the warfighter with full-dimensional situational awareness to enable mission success. NEWC is designed to allow any rotary wing platform to receive and transmit aircraft survivability, situational awareness and threat information as a networked application — enabling the sharing of critical information with several helicopters at once.
Radar Warning Locator (RWL)
The RWL is an airborne sensor that provides fast, accurate geo-location and situational awareness of ground-based RF sources and threats. The RWL can be installed on fixed wing aircraft, helicopters and UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles).
