Oshkosh TerraMax UGV technology has the potential to reduce troops’ exposure to threats like improvised explosive devices (IED) and optimize the number of troops needed to carry out various ground missions.

“As the leader in UGV technology for tactical wheeled vehicles, Oshkosh Defense is excited to meet with Congressional representatives to illustrate the benefits UGV technology can bring to military fleets today,” said John Beck, chief unmanned systems engineer for Oshkosh Corporation. “Our TerraMax technology has successfully completed numerous government evaluations, providing force protection by extending standoff distance from potential threats, and force multiplication by empowering a single operator to supervise multiple unmanned assets within a convoy. It’s a mature, fieldable solution.”

Oshkosh continues to work independently and with the U.S. military regarding the application and use of the TerraMax UGV technology on multiple vehicles supporting a range of operations, including convoy logistics and route clearance missions.
