Harris to Modernize USAF Eastern Range Mission Communications Network
- Harris will help modernize the network that supports space launch communications from Cape Canaveral, Florida.
- Network is vital to U.S. government and commercial space launch operations.
- Work will be performed at Patrick Air Force Base in Florida.
Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS) is a member of the Phacil Inc.-led team which was awarded a three-year, multi-million dollar contract for the Modernization Eastern Range Network program by the U.S. Department of Defense. The program will modernize the voice and data network that supports launch and test range communications for the U.S. Air Force Space Command 45th Space Wing at Canaveral Air Force Station and Patrick Air Force Base in Florida.

Satellite Machine-to-Machine (M2M) Communications
The contract was awarded under an Alliant Small Business Government-wide Acquisition Contract and work is expected to be completed by early 2019.
