USAF Certifies Exelis-Built EW Systems for 5 International Allies

Exelis (NYSE: XLS) has successfully installed the latest operational software and certified mission data files for Exelis-built Advanced Integrated Defensive Electronic Warfare Suite (AIDEWS) systems in Chile, Oman, Poland, Pakistan and Turkey. This important milestone represents the U.S. Air Force's certification that the systems are ready for operational use.

AIDEWS is an electronic warfare (EW) self-protection system that shields F-16 fighter aircraft from advanced radio frequency threats. Exelis has provided AIDEWS systems, components and operational software to the five countries as part of a foreign military sales program conducted through Warner Robins Air Force Base, Ga.
