- A season of putting one of the worldaEUR(tm)s leading fighter jets through its paces across the globe has come to an end for Jamie Norris
The Typhoon display pilot, whose ‘day job’ is as a flight instructor for the RAF, was hand-picked from dozens of volunteers to showcase the jet’s capability and agility at air shows throughout the UK and Middle East.
Having made his debut at the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace (LIMA) air show in Malaysia in March 2013, Flight Lieutenant Norris took his show on the road.

Thousands of aviation enthusiasts from Blackpool and Southport in the North through to Waddington and the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) and then overseas at the Dubai, Al-Ain and Bahrain shows in the Gulf.
Now we would like to personally thank ‘Noz’ for successfully completing a display season packed with thrills to show the world’s most advanced new generation multi-role/swing-role at its best.
We awarded him with a framed photo of Typhoon at Bahrain International Airshow to congratulate him on his success.
Flt Lt Norris will now take the next step in his career where he will work at UK Ministry of Defence.
