Elbit Systems' 7.62 mm Remote-Controlled Weapon Station Will Make First USA Appearance At AUSA
At the upcoming AUSA exhibition which will take place from October 3-5 , Elbit Systems will debut its 7.62 mm Overhead Remote Controlled Weapon Station, part of Elbit Systems new Overhead Remote Controlled Weapon Systems product line.

The ORCWS 7.62 mm, Overhead Remote Controlled Weapon Station is fully stabilized and designed for optimal integration into various platforms with no deck penetration. The system has a very low silhouette and weighs less than 95 kg. It can be loaded with 690 rounds, upgradeable to 1150,rounds , thus rendering it ideal for Armored Personnel Carriers, Armored Fighting Vehicles Tanks, Tactical Vehicles and Unmanned Ground Vehicles. All weapon station functions - cocking, re-cocking, safe & fire, elevation and traverse - are electrically remotely controlled.
The system incorporates proprietary technology and represents a true step function in response to asymmetric warfare challenges. Its unique design is based on extensive battlefield experience in full scale and low intensity conflicts, and attests to the Group’s leadership in the field of Turret and Fire Control systems.
