BAE Systems Detica has appointed Craig Searle as Head of Cyber Security, Asia Pacific.
Craig will be responsible for driving the continued growth of the cyber security business as it seeks to expand its presence in Australia and Asia, as well as drive revenue in key sectors such as telecommunications, finance and critical infrastructure.
Oil and Gas Cyber Security
A long-time employee of the Stratsec business, acquired by BAE Systems in 2010, Craig has over 10 years’ experience in the development, management and execution of IT security advice within enterprise organisations in the banking and finance, critical infrastructure and government sectors.
“Cyber security has risen to the top of the business agenda as increasing numbers of organisations are under attack from cyber criminals seeking to compromise or steal sensitive data and valuable intellectual property. Appointing Craig as Head of Cyber Security helps us to continue to help our clients with the asymmetric threat posed by cyber criminals.
“Craig has a wealth of experience in the information security industry. He’s a valuable member of the BAE Systems Detica leadership team and a trusted advisor to his clients. I am confident he will continue to grow the BAE Systems Detica cyber business in the Asia Pacific region.”
Prior to his current role, Craig was the Operations Director for BAE Systems Detica, responsible for the day to day management of business operations and projects involving security architecture, security incidents, governance, infrastructure security, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing and security strategy and policy.
Craig is a graduate of the AICD Company Directors’ Diploma course and presents at conferences both locally and internationally.
