More Orders to Saab within the Airbus A380 Program
On November 17, 2013 Airbus announced from the Dubai Airshow that the airline Emirates orders 50 additional Airbus A380 aircraft. With this order, defence and security company Saab - supplying the mid and outer fixed wing leading edge to the A380 aircraft - secures an order intake of 580 MSEK and confirmed production until 2018.
In June 2003, Saab signed a framework agreement with Airbus for the development and production of the mid and outer fixed wing leading edge of the A380 during the program's life. Emirates order of an additional 50 A380 aircraft means that Saab secures order intake valued to 580 MSEK and production until 2018.
