Bombardier Aerospace Signs Repair Contract with Oman Air

Bombardier Aerospace announced today that it has signed a repair agreement with Oman Air, based in Muscat, Oman. The eight-year contract will see Bombardier undertake all repair work on Rolls-Royce Trent 700 inlet cowls for Oman Air’s fleet of Airbus A330 aircraft.

This new agreement demonstrates Bombardier’s market-leading repair capability on the Trent 700 inlet cowl, backed by 20 years’ experience in designing, developing and manufacturing the product.

“We are constantly drawing on our original equipment manufacturing expertise to engineer innovative repair solutions at our Belfast-based Component, Repair and Overhaul facility,” said Stephen Addis, General Manager, Bombardier Aerostructures and Services, Belfast. “This agreement with Oman Air illustrates Bombardier’s commitment to expanding and developing our presence in the Gulf region, and our ability to support the growing aviation sector there,” he added.

“Bombardier’s pledge to offer the most comprehensive aftermarket support solutions has never been stronger,” said Gary Martin, Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Service Programs, Bombardier Customer Services. “This extended repair capability continues our trend of worldwide expansion – from increased parts inventory to enhanced maintenance and training capabilities in the Middle East, the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific.”

Bombardier Component Repair and Overhaul (CRO) has three dedicated facilities: Belfast, Northern Ireland, Dallas, Texas and Wichita, Kansas, USA. In addition to these dedicated CRO facilities, our parts are strategically placed within warehouses in North America, Europe and Asia. We also support our operators through a customer services team spanning five continents and through 15 regional support offices, nine wholly owned service centres, four customer response centres and two aircraft training centres, one in Montréal and one in Dallas – complemented by a number of Authorized Training Providers that also provide training to our customers.
