Exelis Awarded Navy Network Support Contract
Exelis (NYSE: XLS) has received a five-year, $121.8 million contract for end-to-end systems engineering support for Navy command, control, communications, computers and intelligence systems. The Fleet Readiness Directorate of the U.S. Navy Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) Systems Command, San Diego, Calif., made the award.
Called the Fleet Systems Engineering Team (FSET), the cost-plus-fixed-fee task order under the Navy’s SeaPort-enhanced indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity, multiple award contract could run through Sept. 2018. It includes the base year plus two option years and two potential award periods. The services include communications and network support for maritime operations centers, network operations centers, satellite earth terminals, and globally deployed Navy vessels.
