Boeing [NYSE: BA] today delivered the first Next-Generation 737-800 to Aviation Capital Services LLC, a subsidiary of the State Corporation Russian Technologies (Rostec). Aviation Capital Services has leased the airplane to Russia's flag carrier, Aeroflot.
This delivery is the first of 50 Next-Generation 737s Aviation Capital Services has on order, including 737-800s and 737-900ERs.
"Russian air carriers are greatly in need of medium-range airplanes,” said Roman Pakhomov, CEO of Aviation Capital Services. “We are interested in progressive and innovative products to help us meet those needs. Boeing’s Next-Generation 737 has a reputation for its efficiency and reliability that makes it the world’s best-selling aircraft."
