Fokker celebrates 20th anniversary of its ABACUS component availability program
Fokker Services, part of Fokker Technologies, this month celebrates the 20th anniversary of its component availability and maintenance program ABACUS. The program offers component lease, exchange- and maintenance services for Fokker 50, Fokker 70 and Fokker 100 aircraft and Bombardier Dash 8 aircraft. Based on the success of the program it continues to grow to other platforms, securing a bright future for the program.
The first customer was Sweden’s Transwede Airways who on Sept 8th 1993 received its first ABACUS exchange. Seventy operators with various fleet sizes around the world have been in the program and 4,6 million flight hours have been served to date.

Recently both SAT Airlines (Russia) and Air Niugini joined the program.
Key benefits of the program are availability of high quality and reliable components “when and where” you need, tailored to the operator’s specific requirements at fixed and predictable charges.
With well stocked component pools in Hoofddorp, Atlanta, Nairobi and Singapore we guarantee customer proximity around the globe.
“Fokker is proud to see continuous growth of the longest running component support program for commercial aircraft in the industry”, says Frans van de Pol, VP Component Material Services.
