Argon to discuss effective response training at XVIth International CBRN Symposium
Argon will be demonstrating how its extensive range of CBRN response simulators enhance the quality and efficiency of CBRN response training at the XVIth International CBRN Symposium.
Bringing together CBRN experts, delegates and speakers from across the world, the XVIth International CBRN Symposium will consider the current status of international CBRN cooperation. This includes the four agreed priorities of nuclear and biological security, scientific engagement in the WMD field, and the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1540 (a resolution obliging states to implement a range of domestic measures against WMD terrorism). As a global provider of CBRN detection simulators, Argon will be a significant presence at the event, offering important advice and feedback on how to deliver the most efficient response training in a way that is also cost-effective.
Providing instructors with a much needed level of flexibility in the planning and execution of training exercises, Argon’s award-nominated PlumeSIM® software enables an instructor to configure simulated chemical and radiological releases. These virtual dispersal plumes and hot spots can be set up quickly and simply for trainees to detect. Also on display will be Argon’s latest innovation, RIIDEye-SIM-NaI-P, a spectrometer simulation probe. RIIDEye allows allows radionuclide identification training to take place in either virtual table top or large area field exercises, involving scenarios such as radiological dispersion devices or a nuclear power station accident.
Based upon Argon’s patented use of ultrasound and RFID (Radio frequency Identification Devices) to simulate hazardous material, the PlumeSIM® and RIIDEye-SIM-NaI-P probe are just the latest in a line of numerous innovations from Argon Electronics that enhance both the quality and safety of CBRN training.
The XVIth International CBRN Symposium will be held at The Defence Academy of the United Kingdom, Shrivenham from the 5th - 6th November 2013.
