Rockwell Collins to provide satellite communication terminals to international customers
Rockwell Collins recently secured contracts in Europe and Asia Pacific to provide more than 90 SWE-DISH® satellite communication terminals.
The first contract for SWE-DISH CCT120 Suitcase® and CCT200 Fly-Away Satellite Terminals for the Belgium Ministry of Defense was awarded by the U.S. Air Force under a Foreign Military Sale contract. Rockwell Collins was also selected by an undisclosed Asia Pacific customer to provide SWE-DISH CCT120 Suitcase Satellite Terminals.

“The CCT120 and CCT200 terminals utilize common line replaceable units that simplify our customers’ logistical needs while providing industry-leading satellite communications,” said Mike Jones, vice president and general manager, Communication and Navigation Products for Rockwell Collins. “Rockwell Collins is the only satellite communications provider that offers this degree of modularity and common equipment for 1.2- and 2-meter terminals.”
The easily reconfigured CCT120 terminal is based on an innovative modular architecture, featuring multiple modules, an antenna system, a transceiver, a controller and a plug-in modem, which are easily replaced for use with current and future SWE-DISH CCT products. Customers can also choose from a family of different modules supporting different frequency bands, power levels and modem types.
The CCT200 Fly-Away terminal is fully integrated with the unique modular design of the CommuniCase Technology (CCT) concept, resulting in a more flexible and reliable offering. The compact and easily transported CCT200 Fly-Away provides improved data throughput, higher link availability and operates within a wider satellite footprint.
