Venezuelan airline Conviasa exercised its purchase options on seven additional CF34-10E-powered EMBRAER E190s. This order will increase Conviasa’s CF34-10E-powered aircraft fleet to a total of 13 aircraft, with seven purchase options remaining. List price of the engine order is valued at more than $110 million (USD). Deliveries will begin next year.
“Conviasa began operating its first CF34-10E-powered E190 aircraft in September 2012, and GE Aviation is honored the airline has chosen to add seven more CF34-10E-powered E190s to its growing fleet,” said Doug Izarra, vice president of Americas sales at GE Aviation.
Conviasa is the flag carrier and largest airline of Venezuela. It currently flies to 14 domestic and nine international destinations. The airline operates 17 aircraft in its fleet, including four CF34-8B-powered Bombardier CRJ700s and six CF34-10E-powered EMBRAER E190s.
