PAR Technology Subsidiary Announces $2.0 Million Air Force Engineering Contract(NEW HARTFORD, N.Y., August 23, 2005) -- Rome Research Corporation (RRC), a wholly owned subsidiary of PAR Technology Corporation (NYSE: PTC), today announced the award of a $2.0 million contract from the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Surveillance Radar Technology branch in support of the Radar Development, Test and Integration Program. The contract requires RRC to provide various research and development efforts focusing upon improved radar testbeds for current and future Air Force and other military systems.

Under the contract, RRC will develop radar testbeds that will enhance the effectiveness and reduce cost of research and testing related to emerging radar sensors, particularly in the areas of foliage penetration, ground penetration and airborne bistatic radar configurations. These efforts will provide thorough and timely testing of improvements, cost reductions, early detection of problems and prevention of cost increases caused by the need for subsequent problem corrections.
