Nine dead in Peru plane crash: police
Nine people were killed Wednesday in the crash of a small plane carrying mining company personnel in northwestern Peru, a regional police chief told AFP.
"Seven passengers and two crew members died in the accident, which was due to bad weather and their getting hung up in a high-tension cable," said Colonel Roger Torres Mendoza, the police chief of La Libertad region.
