Magellan Aviation Group awards Quantum Control Software contract to manage its asset rental and leasing programs

Component Control announced today that Magellan Aviation Group, a leader in integrated aftermarket aviation support services for the global airline industry, has chosen Quantum Control(TM) software to manage its leasing, asset management and repair operations for its worldwide customer base of airlines, OEM’s and MRO companies. Magellan Aviation Group recently doubled the size of its U.S. operations with the opening of a new 88,000 Sq. Ft. Distribution and Sales facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. Magellan Aviation Group has its European headquarters in Shannon, Ireland.

David Fessler, CIO and Partner at Magellan Aviation Group commented: “As anyone in the industry knows, there is a lot of detailed information that needs to follow the lifecycle of any aviation asset, down to the component level. Quantum will provide full support, including the repair or purchase of leased or rented components, or flight-time based billing for our power-by-the-hour program. This will simplify operations greatly by aggregating all asset data in one software solution made specifically for the aviation industry.”

In addition to aircraft and engine leasing, Magellan offers engine and engine parts sales, airframe parts sales as well as a range of technical advisory services including delivery/redelivery inspections, engine management, repair management, technical due diligence, ongoing lease audit and lease return inspections, regulatory compliance, on-site maintenance representation and remarketing support.
