Schutt Industries, the market leader of ground support systems for the US military, including the Light Tactical Trailer (LTT) has been awarded a new delivery order by TACOM totaling more than 18 million dollars.

The Marine Corp Tactical Weld Shop program has been initiated to integrate, produce, and deploy 289 tactical welding systems. This unit is a self-contained, trailer-mounted, welding shop and includes the tools, machinery, consumables, compressed air, electrical powered lights, and hand tools required to perform a variety of welding missions. Schutt Industries is also providing the associated maintenance and operator level training as well as warranty support. The Marine Corp Tactical Weld Shop provides the United States Marine Corps with the capability to perform maintenance welding and fabrication and is currently used by maintenance units in both garrison and field environments.

“We are very excited to begin work on this new system”, said Steve Schutt, Vice President of Operations and Sales. “This allows us to fully utilize our state of the art 400,000 sq. foot manufacturing space, as well as add staff to various production areas, tremendously helping out our local economy in the winter months”.
